
The first payments to tired depositors and owners of the Bank of Cyprus and the former Laiki Bank by the National Solidarity Fund are determined for June and after completing the verification of the information they have submitted to the relevant platform.
Compensation claims through the National Solidarity Fund reach EUR 2.3 billion and the first payments to beneficiaries are expected in June. The Fund currently has € 260 million available and, as the Ministry of Finance, Andreas Karaolis, admitted yesterday to the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, the compensation of the beneficiaries will be partial and not complete.
