Unbelievable and yet, true! Atletico Madrid leveled Barcelona 4-0 at the “Metropolitan” in the first semi-final of the Copa del Rey and are essentially “hug” with the ticket to qualify for the final, although the second leg on March 3 will be held at the “Camp Nou”.
From the first 45 minutes, the “rojiblancos” punished the terrible defensive gaps of the Catalans, scoring in almost every counterattack they made under good conditions. In the 6th minute, Garcia’s own goal, in the 14th minute, Griezmann, in the 33rd minute, Lukman, and in the 45th minute +2 Alvarez were “responsible” for the unimaginable 4-0 with which the two teams entered the locker room.
Despite the pressure exerted by the Catalans then they failed to reduce and get some hope ahead of the rematch at home, knowing the heaviest defeat since the start of the season.
Nothing went well for them in the game from the start (they had a post, then a goal disallowed via VAR) and in addition in the 86th minute Eric Garcia saw the red card of Munuera.
