Baku, Azerbaijan, April 16. New Airbus and
Boeing aircraft are planned to be delivered to AZAL by 2032, Head
of the Strategy and Business Development Department of Azerbaijan
Airlines CJSC (AZAL) Vasif Manafi said at the National Business
Development Forum held in Baku today, Trend reports.
“The mean age of AZAL’s aircraft fleet is 14 years. This
consequently results in diminished consumer satisfaction and
elevated airplane operational expenses. Significant measures have
been implemented in this regard.
As an example of these steps, we can note the signing of
contracts with Airbus and Boeing for the purchase of more than 20
aircraft in 2023. The mentioned new aircraft are planned to be
included in AZAL’s fleet in the coming years by 2032,” he
added.
