Azerbaijan’s land and sea hold untapped potential for renewables – official

Baku, Azerbaijan, April 7. Azerbaijan is one
of the countries with significant potential in renewable energy,
Sadig Gurbanov, Chairperson of the Natural Resources, Energy, and
Ecology Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament, said at an event
titled “Innovative Pathways to a Greener Future: Renewable Energy
and Emission Reduction,” Trend reports.

“According to research, Azerbaijan’s technical potential for
renewable energy sources is 135 gigawatts on land and 157 gigawatts
at sea. The economic potential of renewable energy sources on land
is estimated at 27 gigawatts,” Gurbanov said.




The event on “Innovative Pathways to a Greener Future: Renewable
Energy and Emission Reduction” kicks off in Azerbaijan’s Baku.
