With Virch (assist and goal) and Ekitike (two goals) leading the way, Liverpool achieved an emphatic victory with an upset over Newcastle (4-1) at “Anfield”, in the match that ended the main “menu” of the 24th Premier League matchday. The “miners” took the lead with Gordon in the 36th minute, however, before the end of the first half, the “reds” with absolute star Ekitike (scoring twice in three minutes) had turned things upside down. The “free kick” for Eddie Howe’s team was given by Wirtz in the 66th minute, while Konate put the “icing on the cake” in stoppage time.
In an incredible turnaround and with the same scoreline imposed on Napoli in midweek in the Champions League, Chelsea celebrated a huge victory over West Ham at Stamford Bridge 3-2 for the 24th matchday of the Premier League. The “hammers” who were “burning” for a point or, points and Konstantinos Mavropanos in their original formation, “froze” the hosts in the first part, where they took a 2-0 lead. In the second, however, Rosenior’s team “came back” for good and with three goals, the last one in stoppage time by Enzo Ferrantes, brought the “up and down”. Things got out of hand after Argentina’s goal, with players from both teams coming to blows and a general brawl threatened.
Arsenal were “furious” after the January 25 defeat by Manchester United in London. Last Wednesday night he “walked” with Kairat at the “Emirates” with 3-2 (they qualified first with an absolute 8X8 in the League Phase) and today with a very emphatic performance at “Eland Road” they won 4-0 against Leeds, escaped with +7 from their pursuers and sent the message in all directions: That he was and remains the absolute favorite for the title in England.
