And a fifth coroner was made available by George Floridis.

The Head of the Northern Aegean Forensic Service Theodore Nousia was suspended by the Minister of Justice of Greece, George Floridis. He is the fifth coroner who has been suspended in recent days by decision by Mr Floridis.

Mr Nousias testified before the Joint Circuit Court of Appeal in a trial with an accused of attempting homicide intentionally in a calm mental state, arson – arson.

According to the court ruling, the proceedings of the trial were forwarded to the Public Prosecutor in order for the coroner be checked for a crime in relation to his deposition. It is noted that the defendant was finally sentenced to 6 years in prison.

The judges, by their ruling, forwarded the minutes of the trial to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in order for the coroner to be checked for a criminal offense related to his deposition.

It is recalled that by another decision by Mr Floridis, they suspended the duties of three state forensic experts, Christina Tsakona, Angeliki Tsiola and Socrates Tsandiris, for reasons of public interest after the transmission of the proceedings of the trial to the case.

At the same time, the Minister of Justice, in his decision, suspended the duties of Larissa Forensic Judges Christos Kravvaritis, who, following a preliminary disciplinary investigation (SAD), was referred to the Disciplinary Board of the Ministry of Justice and offenses. Previously, he had been filed with a complaint about a falsified forensic report with a financial return of 10,000 euros.
