The ongoing process was set for 10:30 but Mr Giannakis presented a medical certificate through a lawyer, who deals only for the current procedure. The judge ordered the accusation of the Authority as contacting the physician who issued the certificate to come to court within the day to testify if the disease of the former volunteer commissioner actually justifies his non -presence in court. As the Judge of the District Court said, if not satisfied with the doctor’s response, he intends to issue Mr Giannakis’ arrest warrant to remain in custody until the next trial.
The procedure was interrupted for 45 minutes until the doctor appeared in court.
