A official announcement is expected today by the Commissioner responsible, which will express her disagreement over the hunters’ request.
The Environment Commissioner, Theodosia Antoniou, disagrees with the inclusion of Natura areas, in areas that will be hunted in hunting dogs, which already done by the Thira Fund.
Speaking to CITIZEN 107.6 and 97.6, Ms. Theodosiou said that “my opinion is that the 13 Natura areas should not be included for dog training at this time of nesting”. The responsible Commissioner noted that she was briefed on this intentions and the Thira Fund was ready to recall his decision.
