A visit to the dead zone is currently taking place by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Baro as part of a formal visit to Cyprus.
One of the places they have visited, we must say, is close to the offices of the newspaper Politis.

During his stay on the island, Mr Baros was welcomed by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and had a meeting with Foreign Minister Constantine Kobo.
At the heart of the talks were the strengthening of Cyprus -France bilateral cooperation, regional developments and the Cyprus issue. The two ministers also discussed issues of defense and security, energy, education and culture, as well as the priorities of Cyprus in view of the forthcoming Cypriot Presidency of the EU Council in 2026.
Earlier, Mr Baros addressed the annual meeting of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Cyprus, while in the afternoon he visited the Larnaca Rescue and Rescue Center, accompanied by Mr Kobo.
