The closure of the hunters’ motorway on Sunday afternoon will be considered by the Parliamentary Committee on Law, Justice and Public Order, says DISY MP Nikos Turnaritis.
In a post on X, Mr Turnaritis states that “when Sunday noon some ‘hunters’ close the Nicosia -Limassol highway to set up spit and tables, they do not” tradition ” – deprive thousands of our fellow citizens to enjoy a family.”
He goes on to say that this behavior “is provocatively antisocial and unacceptable”, adding that “even more worrying, however, is the absence of the police, which should have ensured the legality and free movement of all.”
He concludes that the issue will be directly raised by the Committee on Law, Justice and Public Order of the House. “Tolerance to arbitrariness cannot continue,” he says.
