More than 110 countries, including the US and many European ones, have recognized Kosovo.
The announcement was made by former Kosovo President Benzet Paccoli, who posted photos on his facebook page with Kenya President William Ruto signing the recognition letter.
“I went from door to door, from office to office, with one goal: to hear the voice and right of the people of Kosovo for freedom, independence and national sovereignty,” Patsoli said, noting that he is fighting with this goal since 2009.
The last country to recognize Kosovo was Israel in September 2020.
