The war in the Middle East continues for the 28th day, with Israel launching large-scale attacks on Iranian regime infrastructure in Tehran and Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. At the same time, the Pentagon is considering sending an additional 10,000 troops to the Middle East.

What we know so far:
- US President Donald Trump has announced that an attack on Iranian energy plants will not yet take place, pushing back the deadline by 10 days to April 6, 2026. He stressed that talks with Tehran are “going very well”.
- Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Friday they carried out missile and drone attacks, targeting sites in Israel and military facilities in the Gulf used by US forces.
- The Israeli military said its forces carried out “a broad wave of attacks targeting Iranian regime infrastructure in the heart of Tehran” early Friday.
