The 5th Criminal Court was listed yesterday before the Criminal Court in the occupied Greek -Cypriot property in the occupied territories by 2024.

With yesterday’s case listed at the Criminal Court with accused of 40 -year -old Ukrainian Denys Pohodin, the number of cases before the courts is five. Apart from Ukraine, in the dock since 2024 are the Turkish -Jewish Simon Mistiel Aikut, German Ewa Isabella Künzel, Hungarian Ilona Lesko and Melinda Ladanyi and Israeli Yazan Sarai Eldin.
The 40 -year -old Ukrainian Denys Pohodin was brought yesterday to the Criminal Court. Pohodin was arrested at the airport when he attempted to depart from Cyprus, as he was pending arrest warrant. Denys Pohodin is said to be a website and company that deals with real estate trading in the occupied territories. This is GP Cyprus which advertises and sells real estate in various areas in the occupied territories, where large contracting companies have been erected by large tourist complexes with apartments and villas. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, he is introduced to the public and prospective buyers and says he is from Ukraine and specifically from Odessa. He also says that he has been involved in the real estate sector since 2015 and from 2022 has been moved and operated on to the occupied territories. He and other persons on behalf of his company advertise on social media available real estate in Trikomos, Akanthus and Saint Ambrosio. Among other things, it advertises sales for the “Hawaii Homes” tourist complexes in Akanthu Famagusta and “Moonlight Villas” in Agios Ambrosio.
The indictment includes a total of 33 categories involving conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to be overthrown and fraudulent transactions in other property belonging to another.
According to a spokesman for the defendant Authority Sotiroula Michael yesterday, on 29/05/2024 information was received at the Headquarters TAE that websites were realized in the occupied areas with addressed details of the occupied Kyrenia and a landline phone with a Cypriot number. According to new information on 11/O6/2024 there was a reference to GP Cyprus based in occupied Kyrenia and, as it was found, the founder of the company is the accused. Further investigations revealed that the 40 -year -old Ukrainian had declared a management in Limassol. Suspensions were also found on social media where this company promotes sales of real estate in the occupied territories.
The representative of the defendant also said that the defendant often went to the occupied territories, according to data from 2022 to 2025, 30 listings were recorded.
During yesterday’s proceedings of the defendant in trial in front of a criminal court, he said that in his oral interrogation he said he has been visiting Cyprus in recent years and that he was going for this purpose and to the occupied territories. He also said that he knows GP Real Estate in the occupied territories and that he has been working with his owner for the last two years. He also claimed to have founded GP Cyprus with his partner because of the recognition of GP Real Estates in the occupied territories. Asked about the Cyprus problem, he said he has known it for the last three years.
The first appearance before the Criminal Court was set for June 13, with the Ukrainian until then remaining in the central prisons.
