Newcastle and its course.
For 70 years, Newcastle has been unmistakable (in domestic events), but it has an average of 52,000 spectators in each home game!
The League Cup won by Liverpool’s “Karakaxas” is just the first in their history, and at the same time the first title in domestic events from distant 1955, when they won the English Cup (they have six cup conquests).
Since then, Newcastle has counted five series of lost finals. In 1974 he lost the Liverpool Cup final, in 1976 he was defeated in the League Cup final by City, and in 1998 and 1999 lost the Cup finals by Arsenal and Manchester United, respectively. In both of these finals, Timur Ketspaya fought with Newcastle. In 2023, the Northern England team was again defeated by United in the League Cup final.
From 1955 to 2025, Newcastle’s only title was the Exhibition Cup (the subsequent UEFA Cup and today Europa League) in 1969. And yet, so many decades, generations and generations grew up, but Newcastle managed to keep her. Its supporters are considered one of the most faithful to England, taking into account the fact that their team has been away from titles and great awards over the years.
Despite the frustrations and relegations, Newcastle’s friends are pathologically loved, filling their stadium every Saturday, the magnificent “St. James Park”. This year Newcastle cuts an average of 52,189 tickets to compete on a stadium whose capacity is 52,305.
