The suspect was brought before the Famagusta District Court for a decree of his detention order.
He is examined against the offenses of obscene attack and abuse of a public official.
The suspect is a Greek Cypriot, 49 years old. The complainant is 44 years old, a foreigner, not a tourist.
Reportedly, the arrested nurse had been linked to a case of kidnapping two children from Larnaca Elementary School in 2018, suspected that he had given illegal sedative pills to the abduction of the two boys. He was then arrested for facilitating the investigations, but eventually no criminal prosecution was brought against him.
The abduction perpetrator was sentenced to imprisonment.
