
With Center Nan making another unthinkable game, Panathinaikos fired Monaco with a score of 88-76, covered the difference of the first match and locked (at least) the third place in the standings!
The match
The game began with a tile basket (2-0), before Dialo puts Lei Ap for 4-0. Gabriel scored the first points of Panathinaikos and Grand the next 4-4. Tasis got up from the top and executed for three (7-4), before Okobo wrote 9-4. Nan scored his first points with Lei Ap (9-6), before Mitoglou puts the first three-pointer for 11-9. Blosomgim continued the good offensive start of Monaco (13-9), but the elaborate energy and Gabriel with lei equalized 13-13. The Turkish forward ran to his beloved Transision and scored a goal (16-13), but Dialo responded with a three-point 16-16. The two teams were playing aggressive basketball from a very early age, with Mitoglou scoring continuous points for 18-22. Nan with two shots continued the good time of Panathinaikos (18-24), while Grand and Blosomgim put a three-point point for 21-27. Nan attacked the basket and scored (21-29), before putting a buzzer beater three-point for 21-32 of the first quarter.
The second period started with baskets from Huanzo and Zait for 23-34. Ataman’s team stayed for nearly half a minute without a point, with Dialos bringing Monaco a “shot” (48-49), before Nan resolved with a three-point 48-52. The American guard put an unthinkable shot, taking the foul (48-56), before serving a ready-made basket for Yurceven for 48-58. Nan was unstoppable, but Blosomgim put an important three-point lead for 51-60. Yurceven cut James and nailed to the other side (51-62), before Nan scored another impressive foul goal for 53-65.
The fourth period began with Lyi from Brown and Tasis’ shots for 55-67. James attacked the basket and scored (57-67), with Yurceven taking a continuous assist of Slouka and holding Panathinaikos (62-71). The “Greens” leader went to the basket and scored a foul (64-74), but Zaitte reduced after Yurceven’s irregular intervention and Okobo put a three-pointer for 69-74. Grand put in a crucial basket (69-76), Nan essentially finished the match (71-81) with a great three-point lead, and Panathinaikos got the great victory covering the difference in the first match.
