The Fire Service in the province of Limassol was mobilized in the afternoon, following information about a fire that broke out in a two-wheeled vehicle.
According to the official data of the Corps, the call was received at 17:47 and related to a fire on a motorcycle which was in an open area, adjacent to the church of Timios Stavros in the area of Polemidia.
The Monovolikos Fire Station immediately responded to extinguishing the fire, with the firefighting forces bringing the fire under full control at 18:06. As reported by the Fire Department, the two-wheeled vehicle suffered extensive damage from the flames and high heat.
Regarding the causes of the incident, the Fire Service notes that the fire was maliciously caused by unknown persons.
