The driver of the tanker has been released so far, and efforts are being made to release the 2nd driver.
Shortly before 12 noon, under conditions investigated, a traffic collision between a truck carrying hay with a tanker carrying flammable material to the Nicosia – Limassol motorway appears to have been carried out. For safety purposes all the lanes of the motorway were closed from both directions (from the height of the horn to the Skarinos).
According to police, all the services involved are on the scene and are assisted, after a fire has broken out in the tanker.

Drivers, the police point out, are urged to be careful and to follow the instructions of the police members and to use the old Nicosia -Limassol road and vice versa.
It is diverted to Nicosia from the Skarinou exit and directed to Limassol from the horn exit.
