Baku, Azerbaijan, April 12. South Caucasus
avails great potential for developing various partnerships, the
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said during a panel
discussion on “Challenges and Opportunities for Regional
Cooperation in the South Caucasus” within the framework of the
Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Trend reports.
“The South Caucasus has great potential to develop various
partnerships and contribute to broader peace, security, stability,
and economic cooperation. We need to cooperate among ourselves to
find common themes and issues, and starting to talk about this, I
think, is the most important thing we can do at this stage. I will
not start listing the issues that we can discuss,” she
emphasized.
The minister noted that there are many areas for cooperation,
which the countries should discuss among themselves.
“I believe that, first of all, there is a political will and
intention on both sides, and we see that this exists. It is
important to develop a dialogue between the countries of the South
Caucasus. I would not exclude Georgia from this issue. This is also
a part of our lives, and we believe that we are also part of this
process on an equal footing. This is our common interest in
promoting peace, security, stability, and good cooperation in our
region,” she added.
