The Federation has announced that the purpose is not to suffer the public but to raise the problems of the profession.

In a four -hour work stoppage, from 8am to 12pm, taxi drivers are seized today in Limassol province, following a decision taken by the Board of Directors of the Pancyprian Federation of Civil Taxi (POAT), which at its extraordinary session discussed the problems that are concerned about it.

The Federation has announced that the purpose is not to suffer the public but to raise the problems of the profession. “That is why the time of the work stoppage was done to avoid affecting students and employees, as well as the city’s choice to avoid affecting the airport passenger public,” he says.

He also notes that the decision was made after many pressure from the members of the Federation, who see daily “pirates” on the streets, on the plates, the ports and the airports “to steal their bread, to steal the state (social security – taxes – VAT).

The Federation noted that if the measures it proposes, such as policing, supervision and control for undeclared work, it will hold an extraordinary general meeting in three weeks for more dynamic Pancyprian measures.
