Hercules is back in the Super League.
“Giraios” won 1-0 away from Anagennisis Karditsa thanks to Koustas’ “golden” goal in the 90th minute and, in combination with Niki Volos’ draw in Tripoli against Asteras B’ (1-1), mathematically ensured promotion.
With three matches remaining, the Thessalonikis are +9 from Renaissance and are superior in the tie due to their first place in the regular season, thus “locking” their return to the “living rooms” after a nine-year absence.
In Tripoli, Asteras B took the lead in the 45th minute with Grammenos, after Fribong’s action, but Niki Volos responded in the 57th minute with an own goal by Grozdanic after a challenge from Loukina. The visitors touched the turning point in the 60th minute, when Loukinas hit the post, but it remained 1-1 until the end — a result that effectively “sealed” Herakles’ promotion.
