Yesterday, the Ministry of Finance tabled before the Plenary of the Parliament for a vote two bills concerning the future of the independent Social Support Agency, whose presidency the First Lady, Philippa Karsera, was recently forced to resign after the so-called videogate with the alleged investors, from which the Presidency was irreparably exposed. Because of the video in question, which reinforced suspicions that the Agency is being used by the Presidency for vote-hunting purposes, the Christodoulidis government decided, following the intense criticism it received, to abolish the Social Support Agency.
