Research continues to identify the fourth.
Three of the four US troops missing in Lithuania when their vehicle fell and sank into swamp, were found dead shortly after rescuers managed to get their vehicle to the surface, the US military announced today.
“Three US military soldiers serving in the 1st Armored Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division, were found dead in Lithuania,” said a US Army and African press statement, adding that investigations are continuing.
The Reuters agency cites the Lithuanian president, who also said that three of the four US troops missing in Lithuania were found dead on the spot, while investigation to identify the fourth continues.
