
TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 11. Uzbekistan and
India’s Reliance Industries discussed prospects for cooperation,
Trend reports.
The news follows a meeting between Deputy Minister of
Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Gulamov
with CEO of Reliance Industries Prasad Panda.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the potential for
implementing innovative projects in the management of large-scale
telecommunications networks, the development of digital
infrastructure, and the introduction of high-speed communication
and data transmission technologies in Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was also given to opportunities for
collaboration in new projects within the mining and energy sectors
of Uzbekistan’s economy.
Following the discussions, the parties agreed to take further
joint steps and established a framework for active cooperation in
the implementation of the outlined initiatives.
Reliance Industries, founded in 1966 and currently led by Mukesh
Ambani, is one of India’s largest conglomerates. The company
operates across a wide range of sectors, including energy,
petrochemicals, trade, telecommunications, digital technologies,
and artificial intelligence, with total assets valued at $300
billion.
