
TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 16. On April 15 of
this year, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of
Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with a delegation from
the German Development Bank (KfW) headed by Christina Leibach, a
member of the Bank’s Executive Board, Trend reports, citing the Ministry of
Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.
During the discussion, the progress of projects in the areas of
water supply, education, agriculture, alternative energy, chemical
and pharmaceutical industries, mining, processing, and export of
minerals, as well as infrastructure, was reviewed.
A framework for further cooperation was agreed upon, with the
aim of implementing the agreements reached.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany totaled
$169.3 million in January 2025. This figure has increased by 75
percent year-on-year ($96.7 million in January 2024).
