The weather with thunderstorms are gradually receding and the temperature is expected on Sunday, Meteorological Officer Panagiotis Georgiou reported in the CPP. As he said, these phenomena are common for April.
A yellow warning has been issued on Friday for local rains and thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and the interior to the east and north, and it is expected that severe weather will retreat late in the afternoon.
Mr. Georgiou said that some phenomena are expected on Saturday, but less than Friday, with individual rains and a possible storm in the mountains and interior. Added that rains or storms are not excluded in coastal areas.
He then said that some isolated rains are expected on Sunday, and there will be no rain at present on Monday. He said that there may be some individual rainfall on Tuesday, adding that it seems that the phenomena are gradually receding.
He also said that the temperature would start to rise next week and in particular from Sunday to Tuesday the temperature is projected to reach 26 to 27 degrees Celsius.
Asked if the weather of the day is common for the season, he said there is a disorder, adding that March and April are similar.
Concerning the long -term prediction of rainfall by the summer, he said that rainfall activity would decrease as long as summer approaches.
He also noted that the rainfall for the meteorological year is quite low and ranged at 60% and is not expected to vary greatly.
