The plan has been prepared in 2021 and has been in force since then, with a budget of 65,000 euros a year.

Within three years when the National Action Plan to reduce rodentalides with the use of anthropomoulos, to reduce and produce rodentalides by up to 60%, the official of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment, the Coordinator of the National Planning of the National Plan, said to the CPC.

Mr Nikolaou described the results very promising, noting that they want a further reduction. He said that the anthropomoukouki is doing the job that did the rodent and environmentally acceptable.

He noted that the National Action Plan to reduce rodentalides, using anthropopouli, was prepared in 2021 and has been in force since then, with a budget of 65,000 euros a year.

He added that the partners of the National Action Plan are the Department of Forests, the Department of Agriculture, the Veterinary Services, the Hunting and Fauna Services and the Cyprus Birds and Coordinator is the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to Mr. Nikolaou, the National Action Plan was drawn up in order to reduce the use of rodent, that is, baits that enter the countryside for rodents, mice and rats using biological ways such as anthropomorphic.

Asked about this, Mr Nikolaou said that the program is proceeding with the same budget this year, noting that the actions are very important and that a recent conference in Greece revealed that Cyprus is the first country in Europe to use the anthropomorphic for biological control.

Indicatively, he said that a pair of anthropods feed on up to 6,000 rodents a year.

That is, it continued, instead of putting baits and chemicals to combat rodents, we promote the anthropomorphic that is a type of owl to help control rodents, reduce populations to reduce the use of rodent.

He said that the National Action Plan has several actions. One of them is the construction and placement of technical nests for the anthropomorph with specific specifications. The nests, he said, are also placed by the partners of the project of the National Plan, but are also given free of charge to communities, municipalities, farmers and farmers, to place them in strategic points they themselves indicate to help the anthropomorkou spread and play the role they want.

Another action of the National Plan is research on anthropomorphic biology. The research continued, is done through nest surveillance cameras, through bird ringing to make it clear where they move.

He also added that farmers are updated to farmers, municipalities, communities and organized sets of the importance of anthropomulus, but also about how important it is in the countryside.

Mr Nikolaou noted that the aim is to increase the anthropomulus and to overcome the species and to reduce rodents, using the anthropomorph.
