The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, received the Parade, in front of the Greek Embassy.
With feelings of national pride and with all splendor, the events for the national anniversary of March 25, 1821 with the established student parade, which took place on Lord Byron Avenue in Nicosia, culminated on Tuesday.
The parade was attended by the 1974 prisoner of war, pupils and students of Nicosia Public and Private Schools, students and students of academic institutions, the Scout House, Associations and Other Organizations. In front of the official platform, pupils and pupils who brought the names of the occupied schools of Cyprus also marched. During the parade, the Police Philharmonic Orchestra and the Military Music of the National Guard (SMEF) were played.
It was preceded by doxology at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Faneromeni, choreographed by Archbishop of Cyprus George, in the presence of President Christodoulides and other officials. The celebration of the day was announced by the Rector of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Gerasimos Siasos. At the end of the doxology, the National Anthem was recovered.
