Work on the Nicosia-Limesu highway between the Monastery and Mutayaka

During the work, the two lanes of the motorway will be closed in part, in a single direction for approximately three (3) kilometers and traffic will be channeled to the corresponding section of the motorway in the opposite direction, to Nicosia and to Limassol.

Work will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, March 24, 26 and 27, from 9:00 pm, until 6.00 in the morning of the following day, on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the Monastery and Moutayakas section, with police recommending special attention.

During the work, the two lanes of the motorway will be closed in part, in one direction only for about three (3) kilometers and the traffic traffic will be channeled to the corresponding section of the motorway in the opposite direction, which will operate in a two -way movement.

According to a statement from the Department of Public Works, the work will be conducted as follows:

• On Monday, March 24, 2025, they will take place in the section from the Monastery Exit to the exit of Pentakomos, in the direction of Nicosia. Exit to Monastery will remain closed

• On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, they will be held in the section from the exit of the Parekklisia, to the exit of Agios Tychona, in the direction of Limassol. The exit to Agios Tychona will remain closed

• On Thursday, March 27, 2025, they will be held in the section from the exit of Agios Tychona, to the exit of Moutayakas, in the direction of Limassol. The exit to Mutayaka will remain closed

The work will be carried out for the purpose of maintenance of the pavement. They will not be held on Tuesday, March 25, a public holiday day.

Police recommend attention to passing vehicle drivers, who are called upon to drive their vehicles at a safe, low speed, maintain safety distance from front -wheel drive vehicles, and comply with temporary road marking in the road projects.
