APOEL’s administration, after the latest developments in administrative, issued a statement on the “8” proposal.

In detail:

“After the latest developments and in the context of our obligation, to inform the world of the APOEL team, with transparency as we have promised, we wish as the Board of Directors of the Company, to mention the following.

There was a proposal from a group of former factors set on the table and withdrawn from those who have deposited it without providing time to discuss and without explaining it. We only asked for the necessary clarifications. Unfortunately, there was no response to the withdrawal of the telegraph. At the same time there was no response to our suggestion to create a strong united front, with a large financial surface created by participating in a common bond, within the context of the proposal presented to us.

However, our attempt to stay at the discussion table did not end with the expiration of yesterday’s telegraph. As a Board of Directors, we remain at the disposal of this team, if he wishes, to continue the dialogue, with the sole purpose, the good of APOEL. The union of forces in our team has always been its greatest advantage, which is why we are inviting again to resume the dialogue.

As a Board of Directors we are open to any proposal properly and understandable. We are confident that friends who have made the last sentence would also ask for exactly the same spirit to explain what they needed and in the simplest way to lead our team, even administratively, to the next day.

At the same time, however, as a Board of Directors we have very important challenges to face. Our priority is to fully safeguard the team, with regard to the March criteria. And we want to assure the APOEL world that we will do what we need to safeguard the smooth operation of our team.

For 11 years, when we have been on the board of the company, there have been good and bad times. As always happens in football. But APOEL remains the largest team in Cyprus. We recognize our responsibilities and obligations and do everything to find solutions and move forward.

* As a Board of Directors we wish to thank the Board Member Alexis Andreou for his offer to APOEL. For 11 years we went together, in good and difficult times. We recognize his sincerity and good intentions and we are sorry for his departure. “
