Lawyer Stavros Georgiou, who was found dead in his office, in the center of Athens, late on Tuesday night (22/7) received multiple blows to the head and chest from a thlon and a blunt instrument.
The victim’s body was examined, according to information from protothema.gr, by medical examiners Nikos Kalogrias and Symeon Mesogitis, who reached this conclusion as well.
The police officers of the Homicide Department, from the first moment they examined the area, found that the lawyer had been mercilessly attacked, mainly in the head, as a result of which he lost a large amount of blood.
There were no security cameras in the office, and the perpetrator or perpetrators had taken the victim’s cell phone.
Stavros Georgiou had not shown signs of life for several hours, which caused great concern to his family. His 16-year-old twin daughters tried to contact him by phone, but he did not answer their calls.
As the hours passed without hearing from him, the two juveniles went to the office and began ringing the doorbell persistently, receiving no response.
Their voices were heard by a tenant of the apartment building, who notified the doorman. When he opened the space, the tragic outcome was revealed.
