The third final of the Futsal Championship between AEL and Omonia in “Nikos Solomonidis” was never completed.
The match was interrupted in the 7th minute of the second half due to episodes, following a volume after the goal with which Omonia led 3-2, completing the 2-0 overturn of the home side. Indeed, fans of the Limassol team entered the field while two Omonia’s futrists are said to have been injured.
We remind you that AEL was led 2-0 in wins and winning the third final would win the championship for the third consecutive year, with Omonia looking for the victory that would keep it alive by reducing it to 2-1 and leading the series to a fourth final in Nicosia.
The Limassolians led 2-0 early thanks to a goal by Rafael (4΄) and Skarpari (6΄), with El Kebe diminishing shortly after Omonia (10΄). The same footballer equalized for the clover shortly before the end of the half (18΄) while in the repeat, after AEL’s goal was canceled (25΄), El Kebe gave Omonia.
Immediately after the goal there was tension and episodes, and the match was interrupted, with the Foutsalists going to the locker room and the referees following, while Omonia made it clear that they were not going to continue the game.
Finally, the REF, after about 45 minutes, decided to finally stop the race, the fate of which the athletic judge will decide.
