Oz Karahan announced his candidacy for the position of Vice President of the Ecologists Movement – Citizens’ Cooperation.

As he states in his announcement, “as Cypriots, wherever we turn, we see both the flag of the Turkish conquerors in Pentadactyl and a political elite who seems sworn in our state and democracy. We are excluded. Corruption, the environmental disaster, a young population that does not see any future in its home country, the violation of the rule of law, the settlement and the demographic alteration, all these issues come from the status quo imposed by the two factors that block us, and Turkey.

Continuing, he stresses: “I am grateful to walk this path with the Ecologists – Citizens’ Movement, where I have found many people who really care about this country and opposed to the status quo, which threatens our very existence in our country. And today, it is my honor to put myself as a candidate for the position of Vice -President of the Movement, hoping to continue this fight together and break the suffocating exclusion of us. “

“Our homeland and our people deserve liberation and a better future, and together we will fight for it,” he concludes.
