At zero again the negotiations after the draft to exploit Ukraine’s rare land.
The new 55 -page blueprint for Ukraine’s rare land gradually sees the light of publicity two days after being delivered from Washington to Kiev. After more than a month when the White House had not responded to Volodimir Zelenski, who had been publicly positioned and made another move to Trump’s side saying “we sign anytime, anywhere, in any composition”, Washington again sent the negotiations again. The new American proposal contains mainly elements that the US chooses to come back to the forefront of something new …
The deposits and the supernatural
The US in their new text again calls on Ukraine a commitment of lasting and even conditional a month before they had accepted to withdraw.
In essence, Washington clearly calls for total control over the lithium deposits (though not only) and through them initially Ukraine to repay for the American aid it has received for the last three years with interest 4% per year.
In the second year, the US is calling for the creation of a superstar which will be governed by a three -member committee in which two members will be from the Ukrainian and one from the US. Decisions are made only with absolute unanimity and the US has for a long time reserved the right to prioritize a priority over any third party even after the completion of initial aid.
The American text defines – according to the Financial Times, which initially released the entire new American draft – that Ukraine for the first year of validity of the agreement is obliged to reject any offer from third parties.
At the same time out of the text, as expected after the episodic and no honorable for US diplomacy visit to the White House, there is no reference to US security guarantees.
What makes, however, the biggest impression on the wording of the terms, which is a draft rather than the final text of the agreement, is that there is no mention of Europe. The European Union, which despite its timeless pathogens, from the election of Trump and then “runs” the processes of both its inner “cleansing” and support in Ukraine is completely out of the table.
For the US of Trump despite European funds made available to Kiev and which are proven to be more than the US, the Union should not have equal (or about) access to Ukraine’s mineral wealth. The American text lacks both the timetable and the research costs of the whole process, but analysts note that this is a purely technical issue and will be analyzed in detail if there is a final agreement between the parties involved.
Kiev and Medvedev’s “Cremla”
For its part, Ukraine without raising the tones, with fresh painful memories, says the American plan is a new negotiation and that there is room for it. Sources from the Zelenski environment and the Ukrainian opposition agree that the country cannot be “turned into a 51st US state” only to continue to resist Russian attacks and note that Ukraine’s mineral wealth is rightfully owned by the people of the country.
It is clear that the new American plan is turning back the negotiations at an early stage and it will take a long time again to change evidence and convergence. Washington, who at no point, in the spotlight, has put pressure on Moscow is still doing it towards Kiev.
The US stance brought a new post by Menvedev, who reported at the end of Benito Mussolini saying that Zelenski will have the same fate if Ukraine has accepted to become a protectorate and the US community.
Donald Trump seems to still want a long and most important binding agreement with Kiev not so much because he has complete knowledge and certainty of the financial profits of the agreement but mainly to use Ukrainian signature to achieve things and diplomatic.
What today seems more likely than ever is that the US president will not be for the first time in his second term consistent with his commitment and “I will end the war in 24 hours” turned into “I will end the war in the first 100 days”.
