US President Donald Trump said yesterday Sunday that he is expecting a deal with Tiktok’s parent company, the Chinese company byTedance, to sell the short video platform using 170 million Americans before the deadline is over.
Mr Trump set the deadline in January. It is about finding a non -Chinese company for the sale of its subsidiary to the US. Otherwise, he warns, the platform will be banned in the country for national security reasons, under a law adopted in 2024.
“We have a lot of potential buyers,” Mr Trump, who accompanied him on the presidential aircraft assured. “There is a great interest in Tiktok,” he added, adding, “I would like to see Tiktok stay alive.”
