The debate, entitled “Progress in the efforts made under the auspices of the UN to reopen the negotiations aimed at resolving the Cyprus problem” will take about 10 minutes.
Intervention for the Cyprus issue, which will be followed by positions by the heads of political groups, will be held on Wednesday afternoon by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
The debate, entitled “Progress in the efforts made under the auspices of the UN to reopen the negotiations aimed at resolving the Cyprus problem” will take about 10 minutes, from 12:50 to 13:00 Cyprus time (11:50 – 12 local time).
Initially there will be a position by Mrs Metsola to progress in the UN’s efforts to reopen the process in the Cyprus issue, on the occasion of developments in Geneva. There will then be interventions by representatives of the European Parliament’s political groups. The procedure does not provide for the issuance of a resolution.
