TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 11. The Asian
Development Bank (ADB) forecasts sustained economic growth for
Uzbekistan in the coming years.
The data obtained by Trend from the ADB’s latest report shows that
Uzbekistan’s GDP is expected to grow by 6.6 percent in 2025 and by
6.7 percent in 2026.
These figures reflect a positive outlook for the country’s
economy, maintaining momentum following the 6.5 percent growth
projected for 2024. Uzbekistan has consistently demonstrated robust
growth since 2023, when GDP grew by 6.3 percent.
Compared to its regional peers in Central Asia, Uzbekistan
remains among the fastest-growing economies. While a few
neighboring countries are expected to post slightly higher growth
rates, Uzbekistan’s projections place it well above the regional
average, reinforcing its role as a key economic driver in the
region.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan projects the country’s
GDP to remain between 5.5 and 6.0 percent in 2025. At the same
time, Uzbekistan’s economic growth is projected to slightly improve
to 6-6.5 percent for 2026 as well as 2027.
