A still-recovering Pope Francis on Thursday visited Rome’s Regina Coeli jail in the latest in a spate of surprise recent appearances. The 88-year-old Argentine pontiff was ordered to rest for two months following his release from hospital on March 23 after five weeks of treatment for pneumonia in both lungs.
