With the intensity of geopolitical developments in the Middle East causing flight diversions and cancellations, Paphos Airport is under increased vigilance. New photos that came to our knowledge record the implementation of strict security measures in view of the diversions affecting the Cyprus aeronautical system.
According to a Foreign Ministry announcement, 29 flights were diverted to Cyprus, 20 of which landed at Larnaca Airport and 9 at Paphos Airport. A total of 2427 passengers landed, including 979 passengers at Larnaca Airport and 1448 at Paphos Airport.
