In its announcement, COP informs that it is receiving applications from those interested in enrollment in arbitration courses. In detail:
“The Cyprus Football Federation announces the launch of enrollments for new football and referee referees training courses. Those interested are invited to complete the attached application (located on the COP website) and send it to refereeacademy@cfa.com.cy until September 30, 2025.
The courses will be held simultaneously in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca.
Qualifications and Conditions of Candidates of Referees:
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
–People who apply for referee register (Candidate Referees) must be qualified and /or meet the following conditions:
-To be over 16 years of age but under 30 years of age.
-Graduates of High School, a school recognized by the Ministry of Education, with a general grade of at least 70/100 or to be graduates of higher education school regardless of the grade of the High School diploma. (Except for referees under 18 years of age who will be temporarily accepted with a certificate of study).
-Not members of the administration or just members of any club belonging to the COO or other body, body or federation related to football. Not to be football players or coaches or technicians of the COP of the COP, or a club that belongs to another sports federation in Cyprus. A former member of the COP of the COP or football coach, or a technician may be registered as a referee as at least two years have elapsed since the date of his resignation or loss of his status. A football player of the CAP will be able to register as a referee after at least 6 months elapsed from the date he competed in an official match for the last time.
-Do not work or cooperate with any property, whether or not, in a union belonging to the CAP or other body or body or athletic federation.
-Do not work or work with any mass media in his sports departments and /or programs.
-Do not owe or cooperate or have an immediate or indirect interest in the absolute EU judgment, in any office or firms of soccer bets or a sportswear business. In the event of a doubt by the Candidate Referee whether there is an indirect interest in a betting business or a sportswear business, he must disclose it and the EU of the COP will decide.
-Not to be bankrupt either himself or a company that is legally responsible.
