The weather is approaching and in less than a month Barcelona will return “home”. As the team announced last June, the long -awaited return to Camp Nou will take place on Sunday, August 10th.
According to RAC1, the Catalans want the inauguration and the big celebration as soon as it is fully completed by Camp Nou, including Lionel Messi, whom the club wants to honor for his great contribution.
Barcelona hopes to get a positive response, but according to the Spanish media, the Argentine star has not received any official proposal from the Blaugrana.
The club’s plan is to organize this big event when the renovation of the stadium is fully completed and after the roof is placed.
According to the scheduled timetable, if the work proceeds as scheduled and the roof is installed during the summer of 2026, the inauguration and the award of a tribute to Messi will take place during the 2026/27 season.
