The reflection on the course of this year’s tourist season continues in Italy.
Many hoteliers, restaurateurs and businessmen who exploit organized beams insist that compared to last year, the presence of tourists in seaside resorts has reduced a 15% decrease, with a decline of 25% in well -known tourist destinations, such as Kalavria.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, however, believes that there are no reasons for concern.
He accused the opposition that “in order to be able to attack the government, it spread false news” and added that “according to the interior ministry data, tourist arrivals have increased.”
“Anyone who loves his country does not cross it before the whole world, motivated by political interest,” he said.
Many tourism businessmen insist, however, that the problem concerns the purchasing power of the citizens and that the reduction of domestic tourism cannot be covered by the arrivals of foreign visitors and their overnight stays, especially in the major cities of the country.
For her part, the secretary of the center -left Democratic Party, Eli Slain, replied to the Italian prime minister that instead of addressing the opposition, “he should address the Italian families who have too much low wages and cannot go on vacation, while the government is unable to go on.
