The Fire Service was alerted at noon on Thursday.
According to information, a fire broke out on the roof of a building near the Technological University, in the Center of Limassol, on Themidos Street.
Newer information indicates that work was being carried out by workers in the building, when under circumstances that are being investigated by the authorities, a fire broke out on the roof.
According to the press representative of the Fire Department, Andrea Ketti, the fire is in full progress and part of the roof of the building has collapsed. He notes that the firefighters are making an extra effort to protect adjacent properties and to evacuate their occupants as a precaution, while off-duty personnel have also been called.
