US President Donald Trump has posted a post referring to the destruction of the “biggest bridge in Iran” and asking the country to negotiate “before it’s too late”, ratcheting up the rhetoric amid the ongoing military conflict with Tehran.
At the same time, in his post, the American president, where he also uploaded a video of the attack on the bridge, argued that many more attacks will follow and that it is time for Tehran to make an agreement before it is too late and there is nothing left in the country.
With a height of 136 meters, the B1 bridge between Tehran and Karaj is considered the highest in the Middle East and was inaugurated this year, Fars reported, while it was billed in state media as “one of the most complex technical projects in West Asia”.
Iran’s Press TV reported that the bridge was worth $400 million. In fact, according to Iranian television, the bridge was targeted twice in the same day.

“The US-Zionist enemy has re-targeted the B1 bridge in Karaj”, a city in the western part of the Iranian capital, Iran’s state television reported, clarifying that this bridge had “already been targeted an hour earlier”.
“This new attack occurred as rescue teams were deployed to provide aid to victims” of the first strike, it said.
