According to the English newspaper “Daily Mail”, Barcelona submitted a new proposal to United to extend Rashford’s loan for another year, but the answer was again negative.
So Barcelona have no choice, they have to pay the clause, otherwise the international winger will return to Manchester in the summer and be loaned out, for a bigger price, to another club, as he does not want to make a new start at Old Trafford.
The relevant report states that Tottenham, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich are monitoring the developments, with Arsenal added to the list of teams that would like him on their roster, if Barcelona’s deal with United falls through!
Rashford has 13 goals and 14 assists for the Spanish club in 46 matches in all competitions this year.
