FIFA’s decision on World Cup games in case of extreme weather

TheCyprus

Just like last summer with warnings about extreme storms or when players had to cool off due to extreme heat, FIFA will do exactly the same this year at the World Cup.

The possibility of stopping and resuming the match on a different day than the one originally scheduled will never be on the table.

Players and teams will be forced to wait in the locker room for any possible storm or extreme weather that may affect the city where the match is in progress to pass.

For example, in Boston and New York, on days when the forecast is such that extreme weather is expected, the only conversation that will take place is when the match will be stopped.
