On Monday evening, the areas of Engomi and Kaimaklio in Nicosia remain without electricity, due to a fault in the network of the Cyprus Electricity Authority (ECA).
According to the EAC website, the breakdown was recorded shortly before 21:00, affecting a number of properties in the two areas.
EAC crews are working to restore power, with an estimated restoration time of around midnight.
So far, the causes of the damage have not been known. Consumers can be updated on the progress of the restoration through the EAC website, where information on network failures is posted in real time.
