The “map” of the Euroleague playoffs has been completed, after Monaco’s victory over Barcelona in the last match of the play-ins. The Monegasques qualified for the eight and will face Olympiacos, now giving the organization a clear picture of the path to the Final Four.
As for the crossovers, the two “eternal” rivals can only meet in the final of the Final Four in Athens.
In other words, we will either have a Greek “civil war” for the cup, or we will not see another European derby between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos for this season.
Indeed, if the “red and whites” make it to the Final Four, they will face the winner of the Fenerbahce-Zalgiris match there. On the other hand, if the “greens” overcome the obstacle of Valencia, they will find either Real Madrid or Hapoel Tel Aviv in the semi-finals.
