A fire broke out in dry grass, wild vegetation and carob trees outside the Sfalangiotissa cemetery, in Limassol.
Three fire engines are operating at the scene, while two loaded firefighting aircraft, which were called while on patrol, carried out preventive water drops.
The organized volunteer groups SupportCY and ATLAS are also assisting in the extinguishing operation.
According to the press representative of the Fire Department, Andreas Ketti, the fire is contained and, according to the first indications, it is considered manageable.
The causes will be investigated after it is completely extinguished.
