In a particularly emotional atmosphere, the honorary awarding of Maestro, musician, composer and Honorary President of the Paphos Music Club, Sotiris Karagiorgis, by Andreas P. Charalambous took place last night.
The event was held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Paphos Music Club, marking an important moment for the cultural life of Paphos. During the awarding of the honorary plaque, Major General Andreas Charalambous praised Sotiris Karagiorgis’ many years of multi-faceted contribution to the musical and cultural events of Paphos, as well as his lifelong dedication to the national issues of Cyprus.
Special mention was made of his contribution through events and actions both in Cyprus and abroad, where he consistently and sensitively served the values of music and the homeland.
The members of the Paphos Music Club expressed their emotion and pride for this important recognition for the man who marked the course of the choir and the Club, emphasizing that they will continue to walk the musical paths that he has carved out over the years.
